Hi,
I'm happy to announce version 0.3 of PaStA [1]. Many features were added
since the last release, others were significantly improved.
Key changes since the last release:
- More performant technique for handling huge mailing list dumps
- Efficient reimplementation of of equivalence classes:
- Mails can now be mapped to multiple upstream candidates
- Commits on patch stacks can be mapped to multiple upstream
hashes
- Mails are now internally treated like commits, with a message-id as
'key', instead of a commit hash
- Automatic detection if patch-stack-definition or any other
configuration setting changed. pasta-prepare got folded into
core-code and executes automatically when needed.
- Improved command line output
- Overall performance improvements
- Minor fixes
What's next? We want to use PaStA's framework for automatic
classification of commits (e.g., classifying a commit as bugfix) based
on ML techniques. First approaches look promising.
