do you have any wifi buttons on your laptop that you may have hit and
turned off the wifi manually alot of people don't realize that does happen
from time to time with the function keys on laptops.. be it airplane mode
or even wifi buttons they can disable networking so look for a button that
would disable the wifi and see if that doesn't kick it back on..
otherwise here is a forum post of people on how they fix it which requires
some terminal commands and system file editing it seems.
