O'Reilly is offering the opportunity to get a 1 year free Safari
account. The only restriction is that you have to write a review of you
experience. Safari is a web site that allows you to access over 2000
different books. You are given a bookshelf which can hold of to 10
books. You are given complete access to any book that is currently on
your bookshelf. Every month you are allowed to remove a book from your
bookshelf and add a new one. This means that over the course of a year,
you can have complete online access to 120 different books.
I have a Safari account myself that I've been paying for. Safari has
been invaluable as a source of information when I've been teaching the
Linux classes. My only problem is fighting the urge to upgrade my
account to allow me to have more books on my bookshelf. If anyone is not
familiar with O'Reilly books, they produce hundreds of different
computer related books on a variety of different subjects. In my
opinion, they publish some of the best books available on computer
related subjects.

Here's how it works:
1-Post a Safari announcement
Post a Safari banner ad on your user group web site, and/or run
an announcement for your members in a print or email newsletter or on
your email discussion list. The banner ads are available at the Safari

you have completed this step, please send an email with the URL or copy

2-Pick a reviewer
A member of your user group (you or someone you designate)reviews
Safari. That person will get a free one-year subscription if they
publish a review of Safari within 60 days of opening their account.
(It can be published in your newsletter, on your web site or email
list, or in another publication altogether; please send reviews to
marsee@xxxxxxxxxxx when they are completed.)
Once you've chosen your Safari reviewer, please send me an email
(marsee@xxxxxxxxxxx) with the subject heading "Safari Subscription,"
listing your reviewer's name, address, email, and user group. If
someone other than your reviewer should receive the banner ad or
announcement text, please include that in your email. Your reviewer
will receive a Safari Welcome email containing their user name and
password within a week.
