The inaugural meeting of the Cochise Linux User Group (CLUG) was held on
20 August 2005 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. at the University of Arizona South,
room C165A – North. It was attended by 8 people. Among the topics
discussed were frequency, length, and location of future meetings. It
was decided that for the time being future meetings will be held monthly
on the second Wednesday of each month starting at 5 p.m. at the
University of Arizona South, room C165A – North. The location may vary
depending upon the schedule of classes at the University. A presentation
should be included for each meeting and should last 15-30 minutes. We
will look for external presenters for topics where members do not have
any expertise. The first presentation will be given by Rex Bouwense on
*Introduction to Linux*. It was also decided that there is no desire or
need for any fees for membership or refreshments for future meetings. A
discussion on a need for any Group leader(s) was put on hold for some
future meeting.
The next meeting will be on 9 September.
