Hi All,

Students using screen readers have reported difficulty using the
test-booking module of Clockwork. I wonder whether anyone has encountered
similar problems and developed ways to work around these barriers.

Kevin: Does Clockwork have a timeline to remediate these problems? A
software designed for use by Disability Services offices must be
screen-reader accessible. We never would have been permitted to purchase
this system if we had been aware of these issues.

The specific issues are as follows:

   1. Steps are not clear that they are steps. For example, 1 is choosing a
course, 2 is choose date and time. It needs to be clear these are steps in
   scheduling a test.
   2. Page for choosing course loads incorrectly and automatically places
you in a pull down menu for choosing the course.
   3. On page to choose date and time:
   A. It is not clear in which format the date and time should be typed in.
Only after typing in normal format of month, day, and year, the form field
   automatically changes the format.
   B. After typing a time, moving up or down using JAWS causes the time to
change. Suggestion is to make separate edit field for hour, minute, and PM
or AM (like in the client software).
   C. When using JAWS and arrowing down through page, the pop date or time
   boxes are not displayed correctly.
   D. Pop up date and time boxes are confusing for a JAWS user. It is
displayed as a long list of times or dates.
   E. When in a edit box and then going back to the normal JAWS cursor
mode, the view changes and puts you at the top of the page.
   4. On the page for instructor information, page loads again placing the
curser into a pull down menu box.

Thanks for any assistance you all can offer,
Aaron
