The ALCTS Scholarly Communications Interest Group is looking for an
interested individual to serve as vice chair. The IG usually organizes
an informal event at both ALA Midwinter and Annual focused on a specific
topic. Last year we organized events on open access policies in
libraries and the future of the hybrid journal model and included a
range of speakers including librarians, faculty members, and publishers.
The vice chair would work closely with the chair (Sarah Shreeves) for
the first year and would then serve as chair in the second year. The
term would start after ALA Annual in June. The appointed individual has
to be an ALCTS member.

Adrian Ho at adrian.ho@xxxxxx with a brief statement of your interest by
June 3.
