Please support the cause! Even though they are only doing this in California,
we have excellent opportunity to learn from their findings and benefit from
their curriculum. Feel free to forward to your friends.

Subject: From SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A.: Calling for Industry Support

To the great surprise and appreciation, SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. was selected as 1
of 100 community action projects in the U.S. to join the competition for
$25,000 grants from State Farm Insurance. We are one of only 14 that SF
designated as "safety".

Not only would our becoming 1 of the TOP 40 who will get the $25,000 grants
help Pasadena, CA, to have a model city program, promoting buckling up
correctly but also it can have a synergistic effect on extending the usage of
both safety seats with harnesses and boosters.

We need the support of the industry---your employees, families, and of course,
you--to gather enough votes to move to the TOP 40. Please join us and post
information on your Intranets or through other mechanisms to help us get to the
winners' circle on May 22. See below for details--and tell your colleagues!

TO: You and Your Friends

SUBJECT: Cause An Effect – Help Bring $25,000 to SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. to
Prevent Needless Injuries of Kids in Cars! WE NEED YOUR VOTES! IT COSTS NOTHING
BUT A FEW MOMENTS OF YOUR TIME. You can vote 10 times on a single DIRECT visit

Now it’s time to vote! Help us Cause An Effect!

SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. has been selected as one of the top 100 finalists in

Cause An Effect, a State Farm crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative which lets
communities determine where grant funding is awarded, exclusively through
Facebook. We need you to rally behind our Cause, cast your vote, and help us
earn a $25,000 grant to expand Boosters Are For Big Kids, a program that
teaches kids and adults how belts should fit and how long boosters are
needed---until age 10-12 in most vehicles, engaging all of the community
agencies in supporting this message. Buckling up right will cut injuries for
kids almost in half, preventing life-changing hurt.

It’s simple to support our cause and vote – visit the State Farm Facebook page
by clicking here

then click on the “Vote” button to show your support for SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A.
to present Boosters Are For Big Kids as a Model City program in Pasadena.**

The voting phase is open from April 27 to May 17 and any Facebook user is
eligible to vote up to 10 times per day for our Cause. The 40 Causes with the
most votes will be announced on May 22 and will be awarded $25,000 each.

**Summary of our Project: Most people don’t know that more than 500 U.S. kids
every week are injured in traffic crashes. Many injuries of elementary school
kids are devastating and lifelong but most could have been prevented by a $20
booster seat. Few parents know kids need a booster to age 10-12. Pasadena is a
diverse city with groups ready to tell families: the injury rate in car crashes
for kids from K-5 grades can be reduced by 45% if children not fitting safety
belts properly use booster seats.

SafetyBeltSafe U.S.A. engages entire school communities, teaching kids how to
protect themselves and to use peer support to help friends ride safely. We
bring together schools, youth agencies, service groups, health care, and law
enforcement to promote the 5-Step Test to determine booster use through ages

Pasadena is a city of active residents and already local organizations are
embracing this idea. Please add YOUR support so we can address traffic risks to
Pasadena children! Vote 10 times today!! And keep it up every day so we can win
on May 17! If we have the funding to focus on this project, SafetyBeltSafe
U.S.A. will be able to build on the core of this project to offer more services
nationally and locally.

With your help, we can seize this opportunity to create a safer, better
educated and more engaged community.

Please encourage your colleagues, friends, and family to vote and help spread
the word on Facebook.

Together, you and State Farm can help be a catalyst for change in our
