Ensures and verifies that all technical and procedural security requirements have been fulfilled for ORMA as stipulated by the EPA Operational Directives, OMB Circular A-130, Computer Security Act of 1987 (Public Law 100-235), Government Information Security Review Act (GISRA) and other applicable guidelines and regulations. Manages contracts and contractors responsible for assisting with below outlined tasks. Provides the Senior Information Resource Management Official (SIRMO) with adequate information to determine the effectiveness and appropriateness of information security practices for electronic and printed media systems under the purview of SIRMO. Ensures that when a potential or actual breach of information security occurs, proper triage is performed and appropriate personnel and offices (e.g., L/C/O Personnel, SIRMO, EPA Computer Emergency Response Team, Office of Inspector General, information owners and stewards) are notified, and that corrective measures are taken and documented. Administers the development and implementation of an ORD-wide Information Security Plan that assesses and addresses the risk and magnitude of the harm resulting from the loss, misuse, or unauthorized access to or modification of information (electronic or printed). Reviews and tests information technology security practices (technical and administrative) within ORD to ensure that appropriate levels of information security are maintained in accordance with all applicable agency directives and guidelines. Utilizes security-monitoring tools (i.e., Bindview, ESM, ITA) in part to perform such reviews and tests. Ensures that all personnel involved in the management, use, or operation of information systems receive training in methods to protect ORD's information systems. Manages security clearance process for those individuals within ORD requiring security clearance. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience that is equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level. Specialized experience is work conducting security evaluations, risk and vulnerability assessments on Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server AND Microsoft Active Directory Services over a wide area network (WAN) to identify risks and protection needs.
