The Internet Administrator maintains the Ann Arbor Hosting Center (AAHC)
client server environment. This position provides support for the
day-to-day operations of the Hosting center. This position installs,
configures, troubleshoots and provides ongoing support of the server
hardware and software for Windows 2000/NT, NT4 Terminal Server and
Citrix Metaframe systems. This position implements and maintains AAHC
server environments and has responsibility for monitoring and
maintaining the associated hardware, operating system, software and
utilities. Supports the Administrators in projects, as well as, provides
level 1 support for the team. Duties include, but are not limited to
restarting Windows and Unix servers, performing data backup and recovery
functions, working escalations to resolve manual processes on windows
and UNIX systems, monitoring and scheduling batch processes,
installing/uninstalling software, and generating performance and
availability reports. Provides 24 hour a day, 7 day a week support.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Systems Administration, Computer Science,
Computer Information Systems or equivalent education and experience
required. One or more of the following certifications required Windows
2000 MCSE, Citrix CCA, or Cisco CCNA. Specialized training in computer
systems administration, system administration and network administration
required. 2-4 years experience supporting LAN/WAN applications including
Windows 2000/NT Server and Citrix Metaframe. Working knowledge of TCP/IP
networking, distributed computing environments, and security
administration required and a working knowledge of firewall and load
balancing. Experience writing scripts and/or programs to automate tasks.
Experience using and maintaining large-scale system management tools in
an enterprise environment. Experience supporting Windows 2000 Active
Directory or similar directory services environment.
