Sorry not to be more clear about which Shannon I was referring to ;)
Either date is fine with us.

Abbott—Thanks for your suggestion. “DOWNFALL” is a terrific film. I’m sure that many in our group have seen it. It is a bit more recent than other films we have considered “classic” and, possibly depending on one’s political persuasion and the election outcome, there is the question of how willing people are to see a film about the last days of the third Reich if one is to draw parallels from that time to this one. I’m sure your suggestion will create discussion within our group.
Bill—Laurie was referring to her own daughter Shannon visiting from North Carolina this week and her plan to spend less time online (and doing research on movies) while her Shannon is visiting.
Everyone—I am narrowing down the potential dates and times for our meeting next week. I am specifically looking at Tuesday (September 27^th ) at either 10:00 am or 1:00 pm or Wednesday (September 28^th ) at either 10:00 am or 1:00 pm. Please let me know if and which of those dates and times work for you?

Abbott here. I suggest for a "classic" film to put on the program, if you all still intend to choose one, the 2004 German film Der Untergang / Downfall. Hitler's last days in the bunker. By the time we'd screen it we will either have Hillary of Trump. Need I say more? A

Hi, Joel--
Shannon is still here, and I won't be regularly checking
emails until Monday, September 26. Or going over movie lists
;) Will do so as soon as Shannon leaves.

I don’t know how many of you may get the New York Times
regularly. This is a listing of what films are expected to
be released this fall and when they are expected to hit
theaters—at least in New York. I referred to this in an
earlier e-mail. Some of the films will hit theaters in NYC
at the same time they are released just about everywhere
else and other times the film may make their way around
the country more gradually or perhaps not at all.
Regardless, this list shows films that have distribution
and the timing may work to our advantage as far as when
the film moves from theaters to being available on DVD and
streaming. It is reasonably likely that some of the films
we will be considering and choosing to show will be from
this list. First, which films on this list are you
interested in seeing and, secondly, which ones do you
think would be good for CINEMA EXPLORATIONS?
