Oh....he had pants on, but he can take them off. His nickname is Houdini, cause he can get out of anything. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Stuard To: cinci_dads@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 28, 2003 7:49 AM Subject: [cinci_dads] Re: Wonderful afternoon Mike, You poor, poor man. This is kind of closing the barn door after the horses get out but, I never leave the children alone without pants on. My daughter included. The first thing they do is strip nekkid and run around the room. Sometimes you can even hear the velcro ripping on their diapers through the baby monitor. Sneaky little kids. -Jim Stuard ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike, Kirsty, Kyle & Ethan Wertz To: cincy dads Sent: Thursday, March 27, 2003 6:16 PM Subject: [cinci_dads] Wonderful afternoon It was 4 O'clock. Both of them were incarcerated in their respective rooms for afternoon naps. Wife is out of town. It's beautiful outside. Quiet......AHHHHHHHHH what a time to relax. Then I hear "Thump" on Kyle's floor above my head. Well maybe the poor tyke fell out of bed.....maybe I should go check it out. I climb the stares knowing he is just awake and playing. Then I smell it. I usually smell "it" when I enter the room, but this time I smell "it" in the hallway. As I enter the room in what seemed like slow motion, I smell "it" even more. I don't see him yet with the door 3/4 of the way open. Then at full swing of the door, there he is wearing only a shirt and a smile with SHIT (not pooh pooh) totally covering his hands and feet with a nice brown dried trail down the back of his leg. Luckily he decided to play with it where it laid, rather than spread the crime scene throughout the whole room, but the confined area was quite concentrated with the brunt of it compressed into the carpeting as if he was imagining tamping the dirt around a freshly installed fence post. Please learn a lesson from me if you haven't already. When your 2 yr old starts removing their diapers on their own, it is time to use duct tape to keep those suckers firmly attached during unsupervised times. After a 1 1/2 hour clean up and writing this email, it is time for a drink. Mike
