Today on the Vanguard! Greetings fellow naturalists,Just outside the harbor we
found one, maybe two southbound gray whales. Yawn.After a long trajectory
across the channel, we found ZERO dolphin, ZERO sea lions. Double yawn.The,
closer to Santa Cruz Island and west of Scorpion, we found four orcas! YEA!
These were the CA51 matriline, including little Comet. After a couple times at
the surface, it seemed like they were going to ditch us, then, we got a
wonderful passby. Right under the bow. Epic.A wonderful afternoon.I leave you
