Special trip on the CINMS research vessel for 25 Docent-volunteers for the Sea Center. Accompanied by Barbara LaCorte (CINC) and Claire Fackler (CINMS)

Outbound to SCI, hundreds of Common Dolphin, and two smallish Fin Whales. Plankton tow and UW camera at Prisoner's Harbor

Snorkeling/hiking at Prisoner's, good sightings of an Island Fox (right rear leg injured) and several Scrub Jays.

Three Blue Whales (big ones!) and thousands of Common Dolphins east of Anacapa on the way back.

A long day, 0730 - 1630, but calm, beautiful, and full of life. Thanks to the Shearwater crew (Marshall Stein and Zac Montgomery) for their expertise and enthusiasm.
