3 gray whales
1 humpback
1 minke
assorted sea lions and birds
NOT ONE dolphin
It was a beautiful on the Channel; the boat was full with many people from a
science conference in Ventura (they were from MIT, Northwestern, Poland, UK,
just about everywhere).
First sighting was a humpback but we couldn't get it to hang around so onward
to 3 grays steadily making their way north. We travelled parallel to them for
quite a while and got some very good views of them, delighting the passengers.
As we were returning Joe spotted a Minke whale who gave us a couple of
sightings and then disappeared. And then it was back to the harbor.
