8 gray whales, all northbound0 dolphinSunny skies, calm ocean, crisp, great
weather with good views of Anacapa and Santa Cruz. We headed out towards the
east side of Anacapa. 3 grays were seen about a half hour into trip, to the
delight of all. Many good sights of their backs and flukes while traveling
with a purpose. Same can be said for the next group of 3 grays, seen near the
shipping lanes. Then a singleton close to Anacapa and the last singleton blow
was seen not far from the harbor.Andrea did an excellent job narrating
throughout. It was a full boat. Majority were local or close by. We had people
from New York, Minnesota, Canada, Arizona. Thanks to Captain Jason, crew Andrea
and Tim.Naturalists Scott Cuzzo, Linda Knowlton. Sent from Samsung tablet
