Afternoon trip only:Gray Whales: 11 in groups of 1, 5, 5, traveling south
Common Dolphins: about 5000 throughout the trip
An absolutely wonderful trip in our great CINP area! The weather was nice
without much wind, the ocean was flat & clear, visibility pretty good. No one
was seasick! We had dolphins with us for most of the trip. The first whale
sighting was a very young calf apparently alone. We hope it was a yearling.
The other sightings were adults traveling together on the south side of the
islands. The last group gave us three consecutive flukes as a good bye. A very
successful day! I did use Whale Alert successfully.
