Ahoy Collegues,
Today Skipper Tasha and her crew took the Condor Express to a fantastic
viewing of 5 Blue Whales and 3 Fin Whales, including a mom-calf pair! 573 Long
Beak Common. Kevin Bailey was PID and his wife Toni my side-kick. The sightings
were all at the same feeding grounds in our CINMS a mile inside the shipping
lanes approaching the east end of SCI. Other spouts were seen, but not
identifiable as to which species created them.
Over half of the passengers quizzed were on their first whale watch trip! One
of them got an amazing video shot of a massive Blue fluke then dive! I will
soon post on Face Book when she sends it to me! Nearly half of the passengers
on our full boat were from other countries. Cheers, Paul
