Now that Summer has officially arrived, our guests locally and afar had a
spectacular trip! Several families aboard with inquisitive kids. So much fun to
have interested passengers! Spent most of our time under gloomy skies and
barely made it to mid channel with loads of activity. Lots of birds and
dolphins in several locations with tons of anchovies. Two Humpbacks, then 3
more, then 5 more which were all around the boat providing wonderful
opportunities for photos of tail flukes. Great to see even some of the
passengers recognizing the whales and they changed their course. Headed west
around 12:30 and noticed 2 very active Humpbacks about 5 miles away breaching
and having the time of their lives. Fortunately, they never tired and we were
able to watch them continue their antics in closer proximity. This was a first
whale watching trip for over half our passengers and they were thrilled! The
bar was set high today for those who ever go on another trip with the Condor or
another whale watching excursion outfit.
Summer is off to a good start!
