4 Humpback Whales
2000 Common Dolphins
A small group of passengers accompanied us out into the sunny Santa Barbara
channel. A cold wind blew throughout the trip. The pods of dolphins started off
small but increased to huge numbers as we ventured further out. As always, they
did not disappoint. We encountered two separate very shy humpbacks; only
willing to give us a quick look. The pair that we came upon later were much
more accommodating. They showed off their white tails frequently on their way
down for food. Always worth the time spent watching.
