This afternoon sightings were 1 adolescent Gray Whale moving up the coast close
to the kelp beds and about 500 common dolphins - many with calves. Seas were
very calm and visibility was excellent.
Passengers included locals along with visitors from many parts of the US,
England, Norway, and Denmark. Several got their first view of a whale in the
wild.
Thanks to Captain Dave and crew, Colton and Devin, as well as fellow
Naturalist, Mary, for a fantastic trip. We were having such a great trip that
we were a bit late returning to the harbor.
