12 NOON TRIP ONLY:
7 GRAY WHALES
1 HUMPBACK WHALE
400 COMMON DOLPHINS, LONG-BEAKED
Noteworthy: Something I have never seen in 15 years. The first group of 3
Gray Whales were in extremely close proximity, most likely mating behavior,
on their way north. 2 males, one female. They rolled around and kept
twisting their bodies around for 20-25 minutes.
The second group of 3 were all business, making their way north.
One additional Gray was spyhopping. Not something you see every day.
John Brinker joined me and the crew (Captain Dave, Captain Colton, Austin
and a photographer (sorry, I don't recall his name).
