There were ongoing rumors circulating around the the commercial fisherman and
cannery docks in San Pedro ( LA Harbor ) for years about that barrel dumping,
which went beyond the sewer dumping. A late cousin of mine worked in the
Montrose office part time while a student at LA Harbor College and often shared
allegations about what he heard while at work about possibility. Paul

I had a discussion about this very thing about 10 years ago with a retired LA
County worker, who said no one ever dumped barrels. I told him that many
people from that era said they had witnessed this. He was adamant. So, there
