                                                Police identify burned remains 

CAMBRIDGE - The Maryland State Police fingerprint unit notified The Dorchester 
County Sheriff's Office Monday that the name of the person whose remains were 
discovered in a field on Friday is Chavonne Renee Dolberry, 32, of 809 Maces 

Human remains were discovered Friday in a field near Handley Road.

Dorchester County Sheriff's deputies responded the 5400-block of Handley Road 
for a report that human remains had been discovered in a field. Deputies 
confirmed that the remains were human after examination. Sheriff's detectives 
responded to the scene and requested that the crime lab unit from the Maryland 
State Police and the Maryland State Fire Marshal assist at the scene.

The crime lab units identified Friday the remains as those of a small framed 
black female in her late teens or early twenties. 

According to the sheriff's office, the body had been recently dumped in the 
field. The body had also been burned, according to the sheriff's office.

The remains were taken to the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore. The 
case is being investigated as a homicide, according to the sheriff's office.
