I've had alot of people wonder about the abbreviations used in the weather pages
also. These are pretty much contracted English, but you can see a pretty
comprehensive list of possible abbreviations at the weather group at
http://groups.yahoo.com/CIFN_Weather - full-text versions of the alerts are also
posted there. I modify the database of abbreviations continuously so each page
should improve on the last. Deleting useless phrases and such is the biggest
challenge. To keep the data to 2 pages or less, I have to do alot of editing
just to get the facts across.
