They began fighting the fire about 12:30 a.m. at a plastics recycling center. One building was destroyed, and a second sustained significant damage. The buildings hold more than 100 tons of plastic. One firefighter and one worker were treated for minor injuries. Firefighters said no evacuations were necessary because the Industrial Resin Recycling Co. is in a remote area. They still were putting water on hot spots Friday. The blaze is thought to have started inside a large bin of plastics.
