The U.S. Fire Administration has received notice of the following
firefighter fatalities:

Name: Captain John Taylor (Age 53, 32 years of service) 
Name: Firefighter Rey Rubin (Age 42, 12 years of service)
Status: Career
Date of Incident: 08/20/2004
Time of Incident: 2030hrs
Date of Death: 08/20/2004               
Fire Department Name:  Philadelphia Fire Department, Engine 28
Fire Department Address: 2320 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA 
19123
Fire Department Phone: (215) 686-1370
Fire Department Chief: Commissioner Lloyd Ayres
Cause of Death: Captain Taylor and Firefighter Rubin were killed when they
became trapped in the basement of a home, where they were fighting a one
alarm fire.
Wake/Viewing for Captain Taylor: August 25th from 9-11 AM at St. Albert
The Great Church, 214 Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley.  Funeral will
immediately follow the viewing.
Wake/Viewing for Firefighter Rubin: August 26th from 9-11 AM at The
Incarnation Roman Catholic Church, 5105 North 5th Street, Philadelphia. 
Funeral will immediately follow the viewing.
