Inside, the fire had developed to a point that the firefighters made a quick exit of the structure but a collapse of the walls trapped Kulow as he attempted to leave, killing him. As reported in the press, no other fire victims were discovered and the three firefighters who escaped were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.
