firefighter fatalities:

Time of Incident: 0430 hrs
Date of Death: 11/29/2003
Fire Department Name: Lancaster Fire Department
Fire Department Address: P.O. Box 101, Lancaster, MA 01523

Fire Department Chief: Acting Chief Stephen Hiliger
Cause of Death: Firefighter McNamara died while engaged in fire
suppression duties when he became trapped in the basement of a burning
wood-frame building following at least two reported explosions in the
structure.

Cause of Death: Lieutenant Diorio collapsed and died from an apparent
cardiac arrest while directing traffic at the scene of a townhouse fire.

DellaVecchia Reilly & Smith Funeral Home, North Church Street, West
Chester, PA
Services:  Friday December 5th, 10:00 AM, Saint Peter and Paul Church,
Boot Road, West Chester, PA
Burial:  Grove Cemetery, Boot Road, West Whiteland Township
Memorial Fund and Contact Address: In lieu of  flowers, the family has
requested donations be made to the West Whiteland Township Fire Company
