Homeroom Blues [Turn 3]
by Sean Quinn

Aritomo had been asked to attend to questions, and a few of the announcements
the homeroom teachers were supposed to give. He did is best to answer questions
about a school he had only known for a day and a little bit over, but found
that many he just could not answer, particularly about schedules. One question
he found particularly hard to answer.

Hades-sensei was new to the school as Aritomo understood, much the same way
that he was new. This was the major reason Aritomo had been eager to help out
the new teacher, he felt a sort of paternal bond to the man in a very odd way.
He figured that since both of them were new, perhaps if he made it easier for
Hades-sensei to adjust, he himself would adjust to the new surroundings and the
fact he was away from his family quicker.

He did have Okita, Aki, and Rui -- three of his very close friends since grade
school with him. Ari knew it would be next to impossible if they weren't around
to adjust.

The question one of the students had asked had prompted Aritomo to seek out
Hades-sensei for the answer. Even though Aritomo disliked the idea of
interupting him, or having to leave the class room un-attended their first day
here, and his first day as appointed class representative. He felt this would
gather a negative attitude towards him by Hades-sensei, and while Aritomo could
survive, he wanted everyone and everything to run perfectly smoothely.

Aritomo had opened the door a crack out into the hall to see if Hades-sensei
was out there, if not he would return to the class and postpone the question
until their teacher returned. Hades was there, and so was another boy, he
looked older than the rest of the first graders, so Ari could only assume he
was a visiting high school student (perhaps a student teacher from a
university) or maybe a third grader.

"ano..." Aritomo said softly, his voice was too soft to be heard, as Hades
spoke to the young man.

"Domo arigato, Ashura. I will be very interested in seeing how you deal with
this situation." Hades said, to the boy presumeably named Ashura.

"Consider the problem solved, sir." The boy said in return and disappeared as
quickly as he arrived.

Aritomo shut the door as quickly and quietly as he had opened it and turned
back to the class.

"Minna!" Everyone was beginning to be noisy. "Hades sensei is busy in the hall,
so perhaps we should move on to assigning clean-up duties until he returns and
can answer the question that was--"

The door opened and Hades-sensei walked back in, Aritomo bowed to him and
politely welcomed him back. "Hades sensei, there was a question about the
schedule which I could not answer, about and I was just about to assign clean
up schedules for the class."

Okita had been missing for a little while now, longer than it took to go to the
bathroom, it was something Aki, Rui and Okita did in the last few years of
grade school, Aritomo guessed they were on the roof or some place similar. For
some reason, when Ari had seen Ashura a chill went down his spine, the boy
seemed pre-occupied with his own agendas. Ari thought it might be best if he
found Okita and brought him back before Ashura did.

"Sensei!" Aritomo looked up suddenly "ano... sumimasen, demo, I have yet to
report into the principle of the school, my parents wanted me to speak with him
as soon as classes started." Which wasn't a lie, its just that Ari would make a
detour on his way to find Okita.

[OOC: Posted By GM. This post easily falls into the turn of "homeroom blues"
Side Stories are stories that fall ouside of the regular timeline, for example.
. .a visit to Tokyo, something that had happened in the past etc....]
