Greetings,

On January 1, 2020, SNAP recipients living in Cook County who are
considered able bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs) will be required
to comply with a work requirement in order to remain eligible for SNAP
benefits. There are currently about 50,000 SNAP recipients in Cook County
who will have to comply with the work requirement if they are not eligible
for an exemption.

You are invited to participate in the:

* ABAWDs Policy Training*

*For Community Service Providers*

 *Wednesday, December 18*

*1:00pm to 2:30pm*

* Chicago Coalition for the Homeless*

*70 E. Lake St.*

*Suite 720*

This training will provide information on the rule and its impact on Cook
County, as well as ways you can help you clients:

·        Request an exemption (if they are eligible);

·        Provide resources that can help them comply with the work
requirement

·        Access emergency food resources in the event they lose SNAP
eligibility or need additional assistance.
