I have noticed that often when picking gradients with many colors, that
quick renders display differentiated colors but that when the renders are
long you get what appears to be a regression toward the mean -> magenta.

Is this related to what you state above?  Is it possible to avoid this but
still use many colors in our gradients?

BTW: Where on Renderoisty's site can I find the combination of Chaoscope &
the semi-naked female character?
