I have had my email address on my website for a long time and it is on every
page. I very seldom get any spam to that address, Perhaps it is because you
have to click on an animated jpg to bring up the email address. Works for
me!

It doesn't matter what your email addy looks like ... I've got like 80 of
them that I use ... any one of them I've ever used in a public place is
getting spammed ... all the others aren't ... it's not a matter of what your
addy looks like, it's about how private you keep it ...
Most all of mine are back-traceable ... meaning I can look at them and see
where I used them. And then I know how the spammers got hold of them. Also
means that if anyone but my 3 main accounts starts to get spammed, someone
leaked those addys and I simply put them on bounce... (since I've got my own
domain and mailserver, this is alot easier for me)
But anyway ... it's not a matter of how you format or choose your addy ...
it's a matter of whether you use it publicly or not ... I've got plain-name
addresses, pure-number addresses, alphanumeric addresses, and I've got
plus-form addresses ... the ones I've used on maillists, or on the usenet,
or as contact addys on my website, are the ones that are spammed ... all the
others are private and have never seen spam ...
I only use named and plus-form addys now though ... but I run disposable
relay mail accounts for clients, so they can dump their accounts, or change
them, when ever they need or want to ...
