Hi folks, just a few more days of live programming left in the year. A
reminder, the offices will be closed from Monday, December 20th to Sunday,
January 2nd. I'll be in and out checking on the station and prepping for the
new year, but I won't be keeping regular office hours. If you need anything,
email me (I'll be checking this address) or phone me at home (emergencies only)
at 250-318-7562.
If you know you won't be back in town until after Monday, January 3rd, 2022,
please contact me as soon as you can so I can make plans to get your show
covered until you get back.
Our syndication schedule for the Christmas break is now up on the website,
along with the schedule for the virtual Yearender, running from Noon to 3 PM on
December 20th.
Remember to get your Top 10 lists for your favourite albums of 2021 in before
midnight December 31st. I'll be publishing them and our Top 100 albums on our
website early in the new year.
And lastly, why not make a programming New Years resolution? If you want help
in making your program better, then resolve one of the following resolutions,
or come see me in the new year. I love talking programming and I always have
lots of ideas on how to make your show and the station sound better. Thanks!
In 2022, I resolve to:
- Play more Canadian music.
- Play more music from the CFBX library.
- Use the online library and thematic lists more (bottom of the right hand
column on [ http://www.thex.ca/ ;| www.thex.ca ] )
- Play more music from the First Nations/French/International section
- Get involved with a committee.
- Interview someone on the air or pre-recorded.
- Learn how to do audio production.
- Learn how to play a vinyl record on the air.
- Make my program more eclectic or move my program in a new direction.
- Fill in on someone else's show/try a genre I've never tried before.
- Play more artists and bands I've never played before.
- Explore and play more music from the playlist.
See you in the new year!
