You are warmly invited to attend our flagship event next week, which is
doubling for the Annual Robert Grant Lecture, and Joe Cain's inaugural
professorial lecture.
16TH ANNUAL GRANT LECTURE: DARWIN IN LONDON
20th March, 6pm
J Z Young Lecture Theatre (UCL Anatomy Building)<http://www.ucl.ac.uk/cdb/map>
In his inaugural lecture as Professor of History & Philosophy of Biology, Joe
Cain will explore the period when Darwin lived in central London, paying close
attention to daily life and its locations around town. What does local history
add to the biography of a scientist? Local Darwin landmarks will be identified
and some key Darwin stories will be linked to recently discovered material,
some of which proved quite unexpected.
Followed by a private view of the museum with free refreshments. This event is
free, there is no need to book.
