Hi,

Hello
What drives are people using with there Titanium boards and what success
are you having.
I had positive responses on Titanium from Raik and Sprow, but I am not sure for
which drives and which media types.
I have a Toshiba/Samsung TS-H633 with Steffan beta program 2.10b dated
15-2-2017.
The drives I'd like to concentrate on are of course Blu-Ray writers, I
currently have Pioneer, LG, Panasonic and Asus available for testing.
I'll do some testing on Titanium ASAP and report back. Is your H633 the
full-size one or the slim-line variant? Which OS version are you using on
Titanium?
When I launch CDVDBURN it looks for the drive but the model is unknown,
pick it out of a list
save it when I relaunch the program I have to pick it again as it is not
saved.
There might be a problem with saving your choice on a Titanium as well as on
IYONIX and generally Acorn IDE. I think I broke that accidentially when hacking
in Titanium/new ADFS support.
I have tried all combinations on the list with no difference.
Writing a CD at less than 10x works but faster gives an error box with (
number) in it only.
Writing a DVD+RW at more than 4x gives the same error. To write a full
disc at 2x takes 8 to 10 hours.
But some times after that time the disc is blank.
If I get the error writing stops and the disc is not recognised I have
to format it in a PC to be able to re use it again.
Is it the same drive in your PC or a different one?
It looks like an unrecoverable error happens during writing and CDVDBurn does
not detect that correctly.
As I said before, the current state of CDVDBurn is a bit of a mess (which is
the reason why I am sending out test versions for free instead of finishing a
proper release and selling an uprade), too many things have been started and
not yet finished - BD-R/BD-RE support, DVD-R support, proper control of writing
speed for DVD and BD media, the ISO extractor, ARMv8 support for Pi 3 and 4,
new ADFS support for Titanium. Free time is in short supply at the moment.
