I'd like to thank you John for the link. When the LiteOn arrived last 
week it worked out of the box with both DVDs and CDs.

With absolutely no software changes to the X100 since receiving the 
Sony from Castle it would seem to indicate the AWG170A is not 
compatible with RO 5.13.
