Good afternoon friends!

As a member of the deacon board, (serving as Fellowship Deacon, specifically), I want to express my gratitude about Body Life and all who participate and support Ron and me. During COVID-19, our church family has few opportunities to meet live, and our second Wednesday of the month gatherings really have given me – and I hope many of you – hope for good to prevail, warmth in my heart as we openly share, and spiritual inspiration as I watch and listen to Ron’s amazing teachings!

This past Wednesday night was a perfect case in point! We enjoyed another wonderful night of fellowship, study, sharing and prayer together at Body Life. Ron shared with us new research —and a deeper understanding — of The Five Stages of Grief as developed by Dr. Elizabeth Kubler Ross. We helped each other understand how to best minister to our loved ones when they are grieving or heartbroken. Insights shared by Ron from John 11 guided us in our study.

I want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure a safe environment for meeting during COVID 19. Gene’s warm hospitality (and now warm back yard thanks to the heaters!) helps us create a perfect setting for Body Life. I’m grateful that we all wear our masks and respect social distancing, with an occasional elbow touch.I served hot and cold drinks to minimize many hands touching the decanters, cups and thermos containers. We sanitize the area and provide wipes and hand sanitizers.Gene spreads the chairs 6 feet apart to honor social distancing, and now with the heaters installed, not one of us needed a blanket! The lighting is beautiful, and the atmosphere is peaceful and calm. AND with each day, our nights are getting a little bit longer and a teeeeny bit warmer.

Please join us for Body Life on February 10th. We need the love and support of one another during this difficult time in our nation... We talked the other night about the kinds of things we are looking forward to doing once we have said goodbye to the arduous threat of COVID-19 – and one thing I’m looking forward to is serving us all dinner once again! /For those of you who haven’t yet joined us, I especially extend this letter to you. We’d love to see you there!/

And special thanks to Ron, who as Gene said, has a way of showing us fresh perspectives and something Biblically new every time we gather, while guiding our spiritual journeys with hope and… gotta say it… JOY!

See you on Wednesday, February 10!

Love,

Stacy
