I believe its BSEF - extra fine. Also available as something called ME, which I
think stands for Model Engineer
It’s the thread used in a W17 tig torch
I can get one from China for about $12 but it takes longer than I’d like - I’ve
been quoted anywhere from $49 to $132 for one locally.
Given I can get a new tig torch (from China) for $15, I might just do that.

Would anyone in the Wellington/Wairarapa area have a 3/8 x 32 tap that they
would be willing to lend to me so that I can repair a damaged thread?
Thanks
