The only Catholic hymnal I have ever been able to find in braille is the old
St. Gregory Hymnal.  Someone has produced a Gather hymnal and some OCP book
like Breaking Bread or something like that, but they only have words-- no
music.
 
I think Noel was thinking of hymns like Holy God We Praise Thy Name, Now
Thank We All Our God, Praise To The Lord The Almighty, and so on.

No, we don't even have the same from one parish to the next here.  That is
why Noel suggested using traditional hymns.  There is a core of hymns that
people know.  
I know you haven't been in the Church very long but have you been able to
get a sense of at least some of the hymns you hear at Mass?  Given the way
you can read a score like a book I would imagine you can even pick them up
by ear?

That is what I am trying to do in South Africa. Does the Church use the same
hymnal all over?

Right away, I suggest that we create a basic Catholic hymnal in Braille with
the traditional hymns and make it available to anyone.

 

Is there a Braille Catholic hymnal that I am not aware of?
