Dear CAS members,

Just a reminder of tonight's program. The weather doesn't look too promising
for viewing but Steve Raleigh of Channel 9 is going to mention the event on
tonight's early weather. Hopefully we'll get another nice turnout.

Tonight's event is free to CAS members so be sure to stop out.

“Apollo 11 Open House & Moongaze”
Tuesday July 28th
8-11pm

The Cincinnati Astronomical Society celebrates the 40th anniversary of Apollo
11.

Tuesday, July 28 for “Apollo 11 Open House and Moongaze”  8-11pm.

The event begins at 8pm with a critical look at the “bad science” and the
arguments used by those who believe this great achievement was a nothing but a
hoax.

Also featured are displays of Apollo era artifacts & historic memorabilia.

At dusk the societies’ 4 large telescopes will be trained on the Moon (weather
permitting) revealing its remarkable moonscape including the region of the
Apollo 11 landing.

The evening will go on rain or shine with presentations, plenty of time for
your astronomy questions, displays and activities.

This special event is free (donations appreciated) and is open to all ages.

Bring the family and share your remembrances of that awe inspiring day, or if
July 20th is only a page from your history book, meet a few of the millions
around the world who lived the event.

Three Rivers School District teachers, students and
area scouts are always welcome.
