Hello!
Power is out again... ughhh!!! I brought this up about a decade ago and
interest wasn’t high at the time. We could pay “as a street” to have our
power lines placed under ground. I don’t know specifics anymore, however I
would research more if there was serious interest. Last time the purchase
amount, I think less than $10k, was spread out over 5-10 years for individual
homeowners. We could achieve two different things by placing them underground.
1. Less power outages due to fallen lines or weather. I believe we would be
connected from the Broadway terrace section.
2. Our street would be finally repaved since they would need to dig it up to
place the new power lines. Something the city of Oakland will most likely
never put into action.
Thoughts? Think of it as a two for one deal 😉!

Steve just called 911 and reported it. The fire department knew about it
already and is sending a crew to check it out. Looks like the power pole
near Florence and Mountain.
