Do you folks give it in ones or fives? Or is there like one garbage truck
guy who sits with a pocket of 20s at the end of the day...!

I give $20/each and since I wake up early I wait until I hear the truck to

If any of you don’t mind sharing this info, how much $ do you tip each
person? It would be good to know if I’m in line with the rest of the
street. I give $20/person.
Thanks!

We used to try and run upstairs, but the pickup times are so hit and miss.
We now just send checks to all who leave the greeting card with their
address.
It used to be so easy when we could just tape the tip to the bins. Ah --
the good old days...

Great question! The garbage pickup folks typically leave a Christmas card
on our bins (we just got them this Tuesday). The card includes their
address so we can send them a check if we want to. We used to leave them a
"holiday tip" taped to the bins but those can sometimes get stolen. So,
best to mail them.
Hope that helps -

Jenifer asked me - do the recycling and bin men get a tip or some other
Christmas award?
They always look so stressed driving around in the hills here.. Im sure
its harder than lower down in Oakland (clearly audible gunfire
notwithstanding...) where the roads are straighter and wider.
Do you folks tip any of the folks like post service or others?
We already tip for food deliveries etc.
Cheers
