Great News!  Jazz is home and we are having a joyous reunion.  My next door neighbor, Barbara, found him in her house and helped me retrieve him.  Big thank you to Barbara and Matt for helping me extract him and big thank you to all of you who wrote.  In a time of anxious worrying, your responses cheered my heart considerably.

Thank you to everyone who’s written to me.  I so appreciate your thoughtfulness and your caring.  It means a lot to me.

Jazz is still not home, but hope springs eternal.  Haven’t given up.

I haven’t put up posters, but I have been talking with neighbors.  So far no one has seen him, but everyone knows what he looks like now.

I know you all understand and are rooting for Jazz to come home, and regardless of what happens, that means the world to me.  Thank you!

Ingrid

There are some great resources on the internet on searching for missing cats. I can't find it right now, sorry, but search it. The best advice for a couple of missing cats on our street has been to ask the neighbors around you to check their crawl spaces and sheds. I know of two cats trapped inside different spaces, and asking the homeowners to check is why they were found. Actually one of the cats was found after some neighborhood kids followed another cat beckoning them to someone's under garage shed, where her sister cat was trapped for a few days. True story! Thanks to the kids on Capricorn Ave.

Sorry Jazz is still missing, and also don’t know who that one belongs to.   But, while we love cats (we have 5), we’re not big fans of this one.  He has squared off with our outdoor cats on a regular basis.  Our black cat Royal has been beaten up pretty good a couple of times.   Hence, we shoo this one out of our yard whenever we see him.

We have several orange Tabby cats on Capricorn.  Mary and I discovered this morning that the one she saw yesterday is not my Jazz who is still missing.  The one Mary saw is this one.  I don’t know who this one belongs to.

Jazz has a lot more white on his face and the rest of his body.  This is his picture

I am so grateful to Mary for keeping an eye out for Jazz, and to all of you.  It does my heart so much good to read your responses.  Please keep an eye out and let me know if you see him.  Fingers still crossed.

Ingrid
