T HE LOCATION IS WILD PLUM CAMPGROUND IN TAHOE NATIONAL FOREST....NOT STUMPY
MEADOW. SEE INFO BELOW
Several of us plan to camp at the Wild Plum Camp ground on Hwy. 49 near Sierra
City on August 3,4,5 going home on 6th. I think it is about a 4 hour drive,
+/- 185 miles form Sonora. It is a small campground, with trail heads for the
Pacific Crest Trail adjacent to the campground. Camp is also close to the Gold
Lakes Basin which offers tons of hiking, lots of lakes, etc. Not all sites can
be reserved and the campground is small so if you want to be sure of a site I
recommend going tohttp://www.recreation.gov as soon as possible. It is a ;
forest service campground so senior passes get a site at half price. Dogs are
welcome in this campground as well as the PCT and the Gold Lakes Basin. My site
is #16 so if you go on line, try to get something close if you can
