Hi Dave,
I second Hannah and thank you helping us.
These are the days that have affected me most from last week into this week.
23 July - from 9:50am, 10:02, 11:27 - video evidence of the 'pecker'
(jackhammer) noise right behind my garden (57). This went on throughout the
morning and afternoon almost constantly.
24 July - the pecker started up in the morning; I could not work because of
this as my office backs out onto the garden and had to call in sick to work.
27 July - video evidence from 9:29am of diggers behind my house and a couple of
houses up. The noise is a lot of moving, banging and slamming of machinery.
This went up to 5:15pm or so.
28 July - video evidence from 11:28am of the pecker and a lifter with a chain
just feet from the back wall lifting up rail track.
The work/noise starts from around 8:30am and carries on throughout the day.
Today (29 July), Spencer started work at 8:14 (photo and video evidence). I can
hear the pecker, but they have finally put up some acoustic barriers (after we
and others complained) which diffuses the noise somewhat but it is still very
much there.
This is in addition to what Hannah has said about the weekend work and digging
behind her garden (on a large mound of soil).
Besides the noise, there is, as you can imagine, not only dust from dirt, but
from the concrete they are breaking up - which cannot be good for anyone's
lungs.
You cannot go out into the back gardens for any length of time before the noise
and dust are just too much to bear.
Best wishes
Elizabeth

Hi Dave
Thanks for your help on this. There have been countless times when there has
been noise and disturbance behind our gardens on what looks like work on the
trainwash. I have just documented here the ones where I (mostly) have
photographic evidence. Note: they include work over the past 3 Sundays at
antisocial hours, & on top of the fact that they have been working noisily
for the whole week so we have not had any days off from this for about 3
weeks, 7 days a week:
Sunday 12 July from 2am - Constant vehicle noise including reversing signal.
From 04.27am - piling!
Sunday 19th July - we were woken my work going on from 6am.
Sunday 26th July - from 1.17pm, whole afternoon’s noise working behind
gardens including working on overhead cables. After a whole working week’s
worth of noise we were then unable to use our garden on a Sunday due to this.
This has been the same for each weekday this week also.
Monday 27th July - from 8.30am onwards (although I have photo at 10.30)
constant digging holes in ground directly behind our garden and constant use
of digger, again rendering my garden a no-go zone for the duration of the
day.
Hope some of this is helpful.
Best wishes
Hannah & Jérémie
