We can certainly help with the noise and chemical pollution issues, we've
looked into train washing solutions and some of them are none too pleasant
(acidic brake dust remover for example); safety data sheets should provide info
on what's in them and the precautions needed when handling them.
There's also light pollution and its effect both on the sleep patterns of local
residents and local wildlife - it can play havoc with nocturnal species.
Presume any diesel trains will be idling for long periods; if so this opens up
a whole world of trouble fromparticulate pollutants.
We'll have look around and see what we can come up with on these issues.
Hoping to get to the meeting tomorrow.
