G'day all,

Chris Penn from GTR has sent an apology:

"Dear Sean,

I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by the piling works
that were carried out on Sunday morning. Please find attached a letter from
GTR Engineering Director, Steve Lammin, and Spencers’ Project Director,
Richard Watson.

If you have any further queries, then please contact
mailbox@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Kind regards,

Chris"

Note that they claim that: "We must stress that our current work is not
part of the Carriage Wash Machine installation. The construction of the
machine and enclosure have been paused whilst Network Rail seek Prior
Approval from the Local Planning Authority."

We have no way of assessing the veracity of that claim. If the trainwash
was not being developed then it is uncertain that the current work would be
required. We might consider it a partial victory, but we must not let up
any pressure.

Until anon, Sean
