Well to fix it so that the system always boots to DOS,
follow the steps below:

1) Go to the shut down menu from the start button.
2) Select Restart in MS-DOS mode.
3) From the command line enter the following command:
   C:\windows\command\attrib -r -s -h MSDOS.SYS
4) Using your prefered DOS based text editor, EDIT is a
   fine choice, change the line in MSDOS.SYS that reads:
   BootGUI=1
   to
   BootGUI=0
5) Save MSDOS.SYS and exit your text editor.
6) Run the following command:
   C:\windows\command\attrib +r +s +h MSDOS.SYS
7) Reboot your machine and enjoy.

Note: your CD drive, etc. will need to be setup in the
config.sys and autoexec.bat
