Aren't there any other .386 or .38_ files included with the driver?
Perhaps you should look for another driver on www.driverguide.com (user
drivers, password all).

How big is your hard drive? You may need to use a replacement for
*wdctrl. The main improvement results from 32 bit *file* access anyway.
