Thanks Billy for the info on F-Prot, I just went to the site (it should be
www.f-prot.com) and the DOS version is indeed still free.  I'm not sure
where I read it, it could be earlier posting from Calmira or maybe when I
subscribed to the Omnibook's list.  I do remember others complaining about
how infrequent the virus updates are getting when I heard the news.  Owell,
I very glad to be corrected and to know about AVG.

   Where did you read it?  I just checked www.fprot.com and the DOS
version is still free...  the only other free AV program that's worth
getting is AVG Free Edition (www.grisoft.com) which is for Windows 9x and
later.  Grisoft updates their AV database enough to keep you happy.
